You can deploy Pega Platform™ and Pega Marketing on Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) to monitor and manage your networks. To deploy Pega Marketing on PCF, first deploy Pega Platform on PCF and then deploy Pega Marketing.

Before deploying Pega Marketing on PCF, access the following information:

The following instructions refer to information in these guides.

1. Verify that your system meets the prerequisites in the Pega Marketing Installation Guide.
2. Deploy the Pega Platform Service Broker with a service plan that includes DSM nodes. There are two methods of deploying the Pega Platform Service Broker:
   • For the greatest control over the deployment configuration, use BOSH. This is the best practice. Follow the instructions in Deploying the Pega Platform Service Broker on Cloud Foundry by using BOSH.
   • To automate several configuration tasks, use the PCF Ops Manager UI interface. Follow the instructions in Deploying the Pega Platform Service Broker on Pivotal Cloud Foundry by using Ops Manager.
3. Deploy Pega Platform clusters. Follow the instructions in Deploying Pega Platform Clusters on Cloud Foundry. For more information about configuration settings, see the Pega Marketing Installation Guide and the DSM Operations Guide. As part of the deployment, follow these steps:
   1. Configure the correct number of DSM nodes, DDS, Data Flow, ADM and VBD, based on resource requirements.
   2. Add an additional datasource for the ExternalMKTData named mktdatasource.
4. Install the Pega Marketing application. Follow the instructions in the Pega Marketing Installation Guide with the following exceptions:
   1. In the Creating the ExternalMKTData database rule section:
      1. ​​Use JDBC Connection pooling.
      2. Set the JNDI name to java:comp/env/jdbc/mktDataSource
   2. Skip the following sections:
      • Deploying the Pega Marketing Help War file on the application server
      • Deploying the Pega Marketing Microsite War file on the application server
      • Configuring application server settings
5. Restart the nodes.
6. Complete the post installation instructions in the Pega Marketing Installation Guide, with the following exception.
   In Configuring Marketing Help Dynamic System Settings, set HelpURI/MarketingHelp to https://pdn.pega.com/sites/default/files/marketinghelp_v722.
