Importing training data for an email bot

You can reuse training data from one Pega Email Bot in another email bot, so that the system quickly improves its detection of the correct topics, entities and languages in which to respond to user emails. You import training data to the system from a file. For example, to use training data in an email bot in a development environment, you can export the data from an email bot in a production environment, save the data to a file, and then import the data from the file.

Export training data from an email bot to a .zip file. For more information, see Exporting training data for an email bot.

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click the name of the application, and then click Channels and interfaces.

  2. In the Current channel interfaces section, click the icon that represents your existing Email channel.

  3. In the Email channel, click the Training data tab.

  4. Click the More icon above the list of training records, and then click Import data.

  5. In the Import data window, click Choose file and select the .zip file that contains the exported training data.

  6. Click Import.

Update the text analytics model for the email bot that contains the imported training data. For more information, see Applying changes to a text analytics model for an email bot.

  • Transferring training data to another email bot

You can take greater control of the quality of the text analytics model in Pega Email Bot, and in your application, by copying training data from one email bot environment to another environment. Copying training data from one environment to another results in a higher number of triaged emails, greater accuracy of topic and entity detection, and makes the email bot easier to maintain and build.
