An organization's business process often dictates that email, letters, forms, and other correspondence be sent to customers, agencies, application users, or other parties. The correspondence features of PegaRULES Process Commander allow users to generate outbound email, faxes, printed letters, and other notifications from within the workflow. The application needs to know who to send the correspondence to and what type of correspondence to send. That information can be provided by the application or entered by a user when prompted.
As an application designer, you create templates for the generated correspondence, customized with specific headers, content, and signature blocks depending on the needs defined in your business model. Outgoing email can be plain text or optionally include HTML, and can also include PDF files, images, and other attachments. You define who can edit or send correspondence, and build in verification by a second user for sensitive materials. Correspondence features automated document generation, content standardization, and offers flexibility in editing, previewing, and verifying corporate correspondence.
