How to enable verification in correspondence rules

In many organizations, sensitive, complex documents and notifications require review and one or more additional layers of approval by supervisors and managers prior to sending them to the recipient.

The Correspondence rule form includes a field to mark template for verification following the creation of the actual correspondence.  This applies to all types of messaging that originates from this rule – letters, advices, email, phone text, faxes etc.

Suggested Approach

Before enabling verification, determine whether or not the specific correspondence always requires verification.  If there are conditional requirements for routing the correspondence for verification, evaluate the need for additional correspondence rules and/or decision rules in your flow to accommodate these needs.

Steps

  1. From the Rules By Type Explorer, select Process > Correspondence.  A list of correspondence instances appears.

  2. Select the instance you want to update.  The display defaults to the Corr tab.

  3. In the After Create field, select Verify from the list.
  1. Save the instance. 

Note: At runtime if the correspondence verification is enabled, the system starts a flow named VerifySendCorr. The standard flow Work-.VerifySendCorr routes the correspondence item to the work group manager for verification, but you can override this flow to meet the routing requirements of your organization.
