Create UAT test cases

Updated on September 10, 2021

After you complete testing in a Test environment, it is common to perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) in a designated UAT environment, which could be a pre-production environment. UAT ensures that users will be able to successfully complete work and meet business objectives.

To implement a regression testing process, create UAT test cases based on expected business scenarios and exceptions.

Acceptance testing

Prepare test cases that allow your end users, or business analysts acting as end users, to verify common business scenarios and check that your application performs as expected. For example, as part of this phase of testing, end users can execute the Next-Best-Action strategy, and then check that the actions are prioritized as expected.

For more information, see Execute user acceptance testing.

End-to-end testing

In addition to testing individual features that are built during the implementation, UAT should also include end-to-end testing of entire journeys. For example, as you implement the Cross-Sell on Web journey, plan UAT testing of the whole process, from the execution of the Next-Best-Action strategy, through the customer's response, to the interaction being recorded in the Interaction History.

For more information, see Execute end-to-end testing.
