JNDI Server data instances – Completing the New or Save As form

Updated on April 5, 2022

Create a new JNDI Server data instance by selecting JNDI Server from the Integration-Resources category.

A JNDI Server data instance has a single-part key.

FieldDescription
Server Name Specify a name for this JNDI server. Begin the name with a letter and use only letters, numbers, the ampersand character, and hyphens.

Two JNDI server names have special meaning:

  • localEJBs – If the intent for this JNDI server instance is to support an EJB connector that connects to an EJB through its local interface, enter the literal value localEJBs. Leave the rest of the JNDI Server form blank.
  • remoteEJBrefs – If the intent for this JNDI server is to support an EJB connector that connects to a remote EJB through an EJB reference rather than its JNDI name, enter the literal value remoteEJBrefs. Leave the rest of the JNDI server form blank.
