Creating an SQL script from the user interface

If a hotfix requires schema changes and you want to apply them manually, you can generate an SQL script from the user interface. Your database administrator can use this script to manually apply the schema changes.

  1. Review hotfixes using the wizard as described in Reviewing hotfixes.
  2. Select Update Manually.
  3. Click Download SQL DDL. The system saves the file as
  4. Give the file to your database administrator to apply. After the database administrator is done, return to Hotfix Manager to install the hotfix.
  5. If there are errors, contact Pegasystems Global Client Support.

  • Applying database schema changes

    If a hotfix package includes database schema changes, you can choose whether to apply the schema with the other hotfix changes or in a separate step. If you choose a separate step, you can generate an SQL script so that a database administrator can review the changes and manually apply them to the database.

    Hotfixes are software updates that Pega creates to fine-tune the behavior of a release of Pega Platform.
