Creating offline configuration templates

Only available versions of this content are shown in the dropdown

Determine the elements that are a part of your offline-enabled mobile app package by creating offline configuration templates. For example, create a template in which you add custom images and icons, to make them available in offline mode.

Use offline configuration templates to ensure that custom resources and components that are not part of your application model work correctly in your offline-enabled app. With templates, you can also exclude specific components from the packaging to improve the performance of your app.

Each template contains default read-only components that your app requires to operate reliably in offline mode.
  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click Configure Mobile Offline configuration .

  2. On the Offline configuration tab, in the Configuration template section, click Add template.

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for your template.

  4. In the Base template list, select the template that you want to use as the basis for your template.

  5. Click OK.

You can now use the template in the offline configuration of your mobile channel to ensure that the content of your offline-enabled app works as designed.
