OPS0037: The number of pending requests for a listener has exceeded the configured threshold
Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud™ (PDC) generates the OPS0037 event when the number of pending requests for a listener exceeds the configured threshold.
Reason for the event
PDC periodically evaluates the status of listeners. If the number of pending requests for a listener exceeds the configured threshold, for example, the email listener is not processing messages, and unread emails are accumulating in your inbox, PDC generates an OPS0037 event and creates a LRequestThreshold case. You can receive a notification for each occurrence of this event.
The default threshold for the number of pending requests is 25.
Example message text
The number of pending requests for listener <listener name> of type <listener type> exceeded the configured threshold. Pending requests count: <count>.
Recommended next steps
To resolve the issue, talk to a subject matter expert and try the following solutions:
- Restart the email listener in Admin Studio. For more information, see Restarting the email listener. If you cannot restart the email listener, see the Email listeners fail to start section.
- Ensure that the requestor login credentials in your email listener rule are still valid, and reset the password or create a new operator ID. For more information, see Configuring email listener routing and Creating an operator ID.
- Ensure that the Pega-Engine prconfig/initServices/initEmail/default dynamic system setting is set to true. For more information, see Using dynamic system settings.
- If these suggestions do not resolve the issue, review the log files to determine the root cause of the problem.
