Overriding Mobile Apps form settings with Pega Mobile Client properties in Pega 7.2.2

Pega® Mobile Client uses a number of properties to control the way custom mobile apps behave on a mobile device. Some of these properties are not directly available to Pega Platform application developers in Designer Studio. When building a custom mobile app, you can fine-tune its behavior by using a feature of the Pega Mobile Client, which allows you to pass additional properties from the Mobile Apps form by using a file.

If property values set in the file conflict with settings made on the Mobile Apps form of your Pega Platform application, the file values take precedence.

Setting Pega Mobile Client properties

You set Pega Mobile Client properties by uploading a modified file to the Pega Platform. To obtain a sample file, right-click and save the following link:

Review the file to become familiar with the available properties. Read the inline comments to learn about individual property functions. To modify a setting, uncomment the line that contains the property, and change its default value.

Uploading modified properties

After you modify the properties, place the file in a root directory of the file, which you also can use when building custom mobile apps to upload branding assets and custom modules.

For information about how to complete the upload, see Uploading branding assets.
