Pega Client for Windows overview

Pega Client for Windows™ is a stand-alone application that serves as a container for Pega Platform™ applications. It works on Windows 10 laptops and tablet devices and communicates directly with the Pega Platform server. Pega Client for Windows supports online and offline-enabled applications, and features a separate installer to facilitate the installation. With Pega Client for Windows, end users can continue working when there is no network connection.

Compared with other methods of connecting to the Pega Platform, Pega Client for Windows has the following features.

Offline support

Pega Client for Windows provides support for offline-enabled Pega Platform applications. You can connect to your application and continue working if the connection fails.

Package distribution

You can use the distribution method of your choice to deploy packages to your users. Users cannot freely download the Pega Platform application to their computers, which gives you more control. For more information and to get the evaluation version, contact your account representative.

Supported APIs

Pega Client for Windows supports a number of APIs that are required for communications and offline-mode support. For detailed information about objects and functions that you can use in your Pega Platform applications, see the Pega Client API Reference.

Supported device platforms

Both 32-bit (x86) and 64-bit (x64) Windows-based computers are supported.
