Accessing your environment

When your licensed Pega Cloud Services environment is ready, you will receive one or more New System Release Notification emails with information about your new environments.

Depending upon whether all the environments – dev/test, production, and so on – are provisioned on the same day, separate emails may be sent as the environments are ready.

Emails will include Installed Software and Access Details. However, to provide appropriate security, a separate email from Pega Sharefile will be sent, which includes instructions on how to download credentials in a secure manner.

After you receive your credentials and have logged in for the first time, update your password immediately as a security measure. Choose a password that conforms to your site security standards and policies.

Pega Cloud Services URLs

The URL designation for each system follows a standard assignment. For example:

https://<company designation>-<project designation>-<system/server designation>

<Company designation> is the short name for your company. For example, ABC Company has the designation abc.

The <Project designation> is the project where your company will use this application. ABC Bank might have a credit card, or ccard project.

System/server designation specifies the system or server that is being accessed. Some standard examples include the following environments:

  • prod1 – a production environment
  • dt1 – a development/test environment
  • stg1 – a staging environment
  • agilestudio – the Agile Studio environment
  • devops – the Deployment Manager environment
  • pdc2 – the Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud environment

If your system includes the Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) Service, you also receive URLs for that service. For more information SFTP, see Completing your environment connectivity.
