Tracking projects using Agile Studio

While you develop your application, Pega recommends tracking your Pega projects using Agile Studio.

With Agile Studio, you can transcend traditional software development approaches by tracking your development changes using Agile Studio. Using Agile Studio, you can implement an iterative and adaptable approach that delivers results in significant innovative and competitive business benefits. Businesses adopt Agile for a number of reasons, including the following business values:

  • To manage changing priorities
  • To accelerate time-to-market
  • To increase productivity
  • To enhance software quality
  • And more
For more information, see Agile goes mainstream.

One of the Pega-provided tools included in Pega Cloud Services is Agile Studio.

Pega Agile Studio is project management software application that enables your application development teams and your stakeholders to complete your projects using the industry best practice Scrum methodology. Agile Studio integrates with Dev Studio in Pega Platform for traceability between your developer environment and your project management system. As part of implementing your Pega applications, Pega strongly recommends that you use Agile Studio to track your project status.

Agile Studio enables clients to focus on the following core pillars of effective project management:

  • Plan your software development and product needs over your software release lifecycles.
  • Manage your teams, backlogs, and technical debt to ensure that you deliver your releases effectively.
  • Complete planned work by enabling your teams to complete their assigned release-drive work so you can track their work using the same tool in which you plan work.

Logging into Agile Studio

Your credential file provides two logins for Agile Studio:

Application URL: Username: password: *************** AgileStudio Username: AgileStudioSysAdmin
password: ***************

Use the AgileStudio SysAdmin login username and password for implementation tasks, as described in the Agile Studio Implementation Guide. This Guide provides system administrators with detailed instructions about how to perform post-installation setup and configuration tasks that should be completed before users begin working in the Agile Studio application.

All connection setup tasks are performed in your development system; you must repeat the setup process in each development system where you are planning to track and monitor project work. In the Set up a connection to a development system section of the Implementation Guide, you will use the login username and password.

The Agile Studio User Guide is designed to help users of the Pega Agile Studio become familiar with basic and commonly used features that support the creation and management of Scrum projects in your organization, including adding and maintaining product and release information, setting up goals, epics, and sprints, and so on.

For more information on Agile Studio, see Pega Agile Studio Community page.
