Configuring contexts in Pega Collections

Updated on September 10, 2021

Starting from Pega Marketing™ 7.4, you can indicate your primary context and define your marketing data structure in the Context Dictionary. The primary context is the entity to which you send emails, SMSs, and push notifications, and that you typically map to your Customer class.

Changes to the Context Dictionary impact your system. If you change the context, you have to recreate your existing artifacts.
  1. In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Settings > Context Dictionary.
  2. On the Definition tab, ensure that the contexts are set as shown in the following figure:
  • The primary context is Customer with an associated data entity of Accounts.
  • The secondary context is Accounts.

For more information on configuring the Context Dictionary, see "Reviewing or updating the default Primary context" in the Context Dictionary landing page.
