Only available versions of this content are shown in the dropdown

After configuring the system for data migration, save the sampling data flow into your Artifacts ruleset, and then enable the simulation/enableSampling dynamic system setting.

  1. In the navigation panel of Dev Studio, click Records Data Model Data Flow .

  2. In the list of data flow instances, open the DF_TemplateSingleContextData data flow.

  3. In the data flow work area, click Save as.

  4. In the New work area, define the basic configuration for your data flow record, for example:

    • Label: Customer Data For Simulations
    • Apply to: Data-Decision-Request-Customer
    • Add to ruleset: <your Artifacts ruleset>
  5. Click Create and open.

  6. In the Edit Data flow work area, verify whether the data flow contains all the elements as in the following figure, and then click Save.

  7. In the navigation panel of Dev Studio, click Records SysAdmin Dynamic System Settings .

  8. Open the simulation/enableSampling dynamic system setting.

  9. Set the value of the setting to true, and then click Save.

  10. After you configure the data flow, run it to collect the data that you want to migrate to the Business Operations environment:

    1. In the Edit Data flow work area, click Actions Run .

    2. In the Data flow test run dialog box, click Start.

    3. When the data flow run completes, check for errors and close the window.

You have collected the sample customer data in the simulation data set. You can now migrate that data to use in tests.

After collecting the sample data, either manually export the data from the production environment or automatically export data and import it with Deployment Manager. For more information, see one of the following articles:
