Enabling people-based ad targeting on Google Ads

This article describes Paid Media Manager as implemented with Pega Customer Decision Hub™ 8.5 or earlier. For Pega Customer Decision Hub 8.6, see Configuring Google Ads destinations.

Google Ads destinations make it possible to target individuals with ads on Google Search, YouTube, Gmail, and other Google-owned media properties. Paid Media Manager integrates directly with Google Ads through the Google Customer Match API.

To configure the connection between Google Ads and Paid Media Manager, do the following steps:

  1. Create a Google Ads account and credentials.
  2. Configure a Google Ads destination in Paid Media Manager.
  3. Configure your target website to record an individual's click in the Interaction History in Pega Marketing.
