Creating actions manually

This article describes the Next-Best-Action framework shipped with Pega Marketing™ 8.4 and  Pega Customer Decision Hub™ 8.4. For Pega Customer Decision Hub 8.5, see the Pega Customer Decision Hub User Guide on the Pega Customer Decision Hub product page.
  1. In the Pega Marketing or Pega Customer Decision Hub portal, click Content > Actions.
  2. Click Create > Action.
  3. Specify the action name and the issue and group to which the action belongs, as in the following figure:
    A new loan action in the Acquisition issue
    "A new loan action in the Acquisition issue"
    A new loan action in the Acquisition issue
  4. Click Create and open.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Configure the action details. For more information, see Configuring action details.
  7. Configure the action engagement policies. For more information, see Defining action engagement policies.
  8. Define the action treatments. For more information, see Defining treatments for actions.
  9. Define the action flow. For more information, see Defining the action flow.
  10. Validate the action configuration. For more information, see Testing the action flow.
