Rescheduling outbound runs to account for daylight saving time

In Pega Marketing™, campaign and Next-Best-Action Designer schedules run according to Coordinated Universal Time (UTC). This means that if your local time zone switches to or from daylight saving time, the scheduled run time changes relative to your local time. For example, if an outbound run was originally scheduled to run at 3 AM Central European Time, after a switch to Central European Summer Time, the same run now starts at 4 AM local time. If you want to keep the original run time for the local time zone, regardless of the switch to daylight saving time, reschedule the run.

Rescheduling an outbound run in the Next-Best-Action Designer

  1. After your local time zone switches to or from daylight saving time, log in to the Pega Marketing portal and click Next-Best-Action > Designer > Channels.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. In the Recurrence section, edit the schedule, and then click Submit.
  4. Click Save.
    After you confirm the changes to the run schedule, the previous set of upcoming runs is removed and a new set of upcoming runs is generated based on the new schedule.

Rescheduling a campaign run

  1. After your local time zone switches to or from daylight saving time, log in to the Pega Marketing portal and click Campaigns.
  2. Find and open the recurring campaign which you want to reschedule.
  3. Click Actions > Reschedule.
  4. Edit the campaign schedule, and then click Confirm.
    After you confirm the changes to the campaign schedule, the previous set of upcoming runs is removed and a new set of upcoming runs is generated based on the new schedule.

The new schedule applies only to upcoming runs. It does not impact any runs that are currently running.
