Maintenance mode in Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud

When your system undergoes planned maintenance activities, maintenance mode prevents sending unnecessary messages to users. Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud™ (PDC) does not send any notifications about systems for which maintenance mode is active which saves users' time.

When maintenance mode is active, PDC does not send notifications through the following channels:

  • Email
  • SMS
  • Notifications API

You can subscribe to the Maintenance mode status notification that informs you about changes that are connected to the maintenance mode. If you subscribe to the notification, PDC notifies you in the following situations:

  • Maintenance mode starts.
  • Maintenance mode is about to end.
  • Maintenance mode end time changes.

PDC sends notifications at the start of every maintenance window. The notification contains the start and end time of the maintenance window and the user that triggered or manually ended the maintenance mode.

The following figure presents the banner that PDC displays when maintenance mode is active, and highlights some of the events that occurred during this period of maintenance mode:

In the following figure, the Under maintenance section of the Enterprise landing page indicates that a system is under maintenance:

PDC Operations and PDC users with the manager role can schedule maintenance mode for any of your systems. For more information, see Muting Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud notifications by scheduling maintenance of your system.
