Downloading robot activity logs
Identify the causes of automation failures by checking robot activity logs. At the
time of a failure, Pega Robot Runtime creates a robot activity log
that you can download from Pega Robot Manager in a
- Ensure that your operator account is associated with the pxDownloadRuntimeLogFile privilege in the Assign-WorkBasket class. For more information, see Managing access roles.
- Configure Pega Robot Runtime to send the robot activity logs to Pega Robot Manager. For more information, see Configuring Pega Robot Runtime to send robot activity logs to Pega Robot Manager.
Log in to Pega Robot Manager.
From the Pega Robot Manager menu bar, select Issues.
In the Failures tab, in the Log file column, click the Download icon for the failed automation that you want to investigate.

View the details of the failure:
Drill down to the
RobotActivity.txtfile and open it in a text editor.
- Configuring Pega Robot Runtime to send robot activity logs to Pega Robot Manager
Modify the RuntimeConfig.xml file so that Pega Robot Runtime can forward robot activity logs to Pega Robot Manager in case of an issue while processing a robotic assignment.
- Processing failed assignments
If an assignment is not successfully processed (automation failed for that assignment), you can requeue it so that it can be processed again or you can skip processing of the automation by manually continuing the flow in a case type. You can also requeue multiple failed assignments at a time.
