Downloading robot activity logs

Version:

Only available versions of this content are shown in the dropdown

Identify the causes of automation failures by checking robot activity logs. At the time of a failure, Pega Robot Runtime creates a robot activity log that you can download from Pega Robot Manager in a .zip file.

  1. Log in to Pega Robot Manager.

  2. From the Pega Robot Manager menu bar, select Issues.

  3. In the Failures tab, in the Log file column, click the Download icon for the failed automation that you want to investigate.

  4. Save the .zip file in a convenient location.

  5. View the details of the failure:

    1. Unpack the .zip file.

    2. Drill down to the RobotActivity.txt file and open it in a text editor.

  • Configuring Pega Robot Runtime to send robot activity logs to Pega Robot Manager

Modify the RuntimeConfig.xml file so that Pega Robot Runtime can forward robot activity logs to Pega Robot Manager in case of an issue while processing a robotic assignment.

  • Processing failed assignments

If an assignment is not successfully processed (automation failed for that assignment), you can requeue it so that it can be processed again or you can skip processing of the automation by manually continuing the flow in a case type. You can also requeue multiple failed assignments at a time.
