Configuring Pega Robot Manager to use Kerberos authentication

Updated on January 31, 2022

Configure the RoboticsSSO service packages in Pega Robot Manager to support Kerberos for robot authentication.

  1. In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click RecordsIntegration-ResourcesService Package.
  2. In the Service Package Name column, select the RoboticsSSO service package.
Note: You can quickly search for rules by filtering their names.
  3. On the Context tab, in the Authentication type drop-down list, select Custom.
  4. In the Authentication service field, enter pyKerberosAuthenticationServiceForRobotManager.
  5. Confirm your settings by clicking Save.
What to do next: Determine the mechanism for negotiating the choice of security technology when authenticating users through Kerberos. Although Pega Platform supports any Kerberos validation method, this guide focuses on the setup with the SPNEGO libraries because this is one of the most commonly used methods.
