Pega RPA product overview
Pega RPA provides tools that you can use to automate repetitive work, so your employees can focus on your customers, and let the robots to do the repetitive, rote work. The automations that you create can bridge the gaps between the various software applications that you use, eliminating the time spent starting and navigating through those applications so you can integrate your legacy systems and avoid silos. Pega RPA consists of the following applications:
- Pega Robotic Automation - Use the robotic automation tools to create, distribute, update, and run the time-saving robots that you create. Pega Robotic Automation includes the following main modules:
- Pega Robot Manager - Use Pega Robot Manager to manage the robots in your workplace. For more information, see Pega Robot Manager.
With Pega Robot Studio, you can automate commonly performed tasks and synchronize data across unrelated applications. Pega Robot Runtime executes those automations, either to assist users (attended) or to perform tasks independently (unattended). Pega Robot Manager, Pega Package Server, and Pega Synchronization Engine help you to deploy, update, and manage the automations that you create. Use the Pega Automation Importer to translate automation package definitions published from Pega Robot Studio into an organized, versioned inventory of robot connector instances for use in your Pega application.
Whether adjudicating claims, onboarding customers or employees, reconciling financials, or updating customer information in systems of record, you can create unattended robotic process automations to optimize the completion of these tasks across your enterprise. For example, when an automobile insurance claim is submitted, an automation can analyze the submitted information, look up and verify policy holder information, and then update web, cloud, or on-premise applications with the new information.
You can create attended automations that users can run as needed to efficiently perform their everyday tasks. For example, you can create an automation that starts the various systems an employee uses when the computer is turned on. The list of systems can include Pega applications, non‐Pega programs, and URLs, and Pega Robot Studio automations. For example, in a call-center environment, you can create an automation that retrieves pertinent customer information and then updates all systems if changes are made, while providing an audit trail of the changes that took place during the customer interaction.
