Robotic Automation example: Using the ICA file template for load balancing using the ZDC

Updated on September 10, 2021

The attached ICA file, launch.zip, shows the requirements for automatically authenticating a published application, such as Pega Robot Runtime, when you are load balancing using the Zone Data Collector (ZDC) for the Citrix farm. You must identify this template file in the Citrix Context and the template file must be available to all client systems that run the solution.

The attached template file is an example. You must modify this file to match specific Citrix farm environments.

The following is a listing of the contents of the attached example ICA file:

[WFClient]
Version=2
HttpBrowserAddress=1.1.1.1:95
HttpBrowserAddress1=1.1.1.2:95
HttpBrowserAddress2=1.1.1.3:95
HttpBrowserAddress3=1.1.1.4:95
HttpBrowserAddress4=1.1.1.5:95
HttpBrowserAddress5=1.1.1.6:95
HttpBrowserAddress6=1.1.1.7:95

[ApplicationServers]
OpenSpan Runtime=

[OpenSpan Runtime]
TWIMode=On
TransportDriver=TCP/IP
LongCommandLine=/"project=
InitialProgram=#OpenSpan Runtime
Address=OpenSpan Runtime
UseLocalUserAndPassword=0

The HTTPBrowserAddress is the IP address of the Zone Data Collector (ZDC) for the Citrix farm. The port assigned is the XML service port on which the Citrix farm is operating.
