Updating UI Connector files in Robotic Automation

If you are updating UI Connector files from version 8.0 to either version 8.0 SP1 or version 19.1, perform the following steps. If you are updating from version 8.0 SP1 to 19.1, omit the steps in this article.

Note: During the update, in the .cs file, the name of the OpenSpan.IPC.ExpressTranslators.IExpressVirtualControl module is changed to Pega.Remoting.ExpressTranslators.IExpressVirtualControl. No other changes are made to the solution.

Updating to 8.0 SP1

If you are updating UI Connector files from version 8.0 to 8.0 SP1, perform the following steps:

  1. Open Windows File Explorer and go to the install folder.
    • If you installed PegaRobotic Automation Studio, go to the OpenSpan Studio for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 folder.
    • If you installed the Robotic Automation Studio Plug-in, go to the OpenSpan Plug-in for Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 folder.
  2. In the Windows File Explorer address bar, enter cmd. Windows opens a command prompt with the install folder as the directory.
  3. Enter the following command:
    UiConnectorUpgrade.exe <location of the project that you want to update>

The utility checks all of the files in the location that you specify and updates the files that require updating.

Updating to 19.1

If you are updating UI Connector files from version 8.0 to 19.1, perform the following steps:

  1. Open Windows File Explorer and go to the install folder.
    • If you installed PegaRobot Studio, go to the Pegasystems\Pega Robot Studio folder.
    • If you installed the Robot Studio Plug-in, go to the Pegasystems\Pega Robot Studio Plug-in folder.
  2. In the Windows File Explorer address bar, enter cmd. Windows opens a command prompt with the install folder as the directory.
  3. Enter the following command:
    UiConnectorUpgrade.exe <location of the project that you want to update>

The utility checks all of the files in the location that you specify and updates the files that require updating.
