Configuring the dashboard layout for the User portal

Updated on December 21, 2020

Configure the dashboard layout that users see when they log in to the User portal. Pega Sales Automation includes a configurable, role-based dashboard for the User portal. An operator with the Sales Ops persona can publish default dashboard layouts for sales operations, sales manager, and sales representative operators. Individual operators can also modify the default dashboard layouts, as needed.

  1. In the header of App Studio, launch the User portal.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Tools, and in the Personalize section, select the dashboard that you want to modify.
  3. In the upper right corner of the dashboard, click the Personalize the dashboard icon.
    1. Review the available templates for the dashboard.
    2. In any slot, click Add widget(s) and review the available widgets for the dashboard.
  4. Determine which template and widgets to use for the dashboard display.

Personalizing dashboards by adding widgets

Customize the dashboards in your application to display the widgets that you need by using the widgets window, which shows a list of available widgets with descriptions. Pega Sales Automation provides a set of standard dashboard widgets that capture your sales data to give you a real-time view of the state of your business.

  1. Log in to Pega Sales Automation as a sales representative, sales operations, or sales manager.
  2. In the User portal navigation pane, click Dashboard and in the top-right corner of the screen, click the Personalize the dashboard icon.
  3. In the Edit dashboard pane, in the Widgets section, in any slot, click Add widget(s).
  4. Select a widget and click Add selected to confirm. For information about the Pega Sales Automation for Insurance widgets, see: Pega Sales Automation for Insurance dashboard widgets and reports.
  5. Click Publish or click the drop-down list selector to publish the widget to an access group or work group.
