Claim submission type

The Claim Submission Type edit controls processing of incoming claims. These edits are based on Claim Type and are at the Claim level.

The Claim Submission Edit rule requires the following:

  • New – Indicates that a claim identified as new for the specific claim type can be processed by this application.
  • Adjustment – indicates that a claim identified as an adjustment for the specific claim type can be processed by this application.
  • Void – indicates that a claim identified as a void for the specific claim type can be processed by this application.

Manipulating claim submission edits

You can manipulate claim submission edits as necessary:

  • To add a new entry:
    1. Select an existing entry and click the Add Item icon at the bottom of the section.

      The new entry appears below the selected entry.

    2. Provide the required information.
  • To modify an entry:
    • Double-click the entry and make any necessary changes.
  • To delete an entry:
    • Click the trash icon at the end of the entry.
