Simulation mode

Updated on September 13, 2021

When Verifi Cardholder Dispute Resolution Network (CDRN) simulation mode is enabled, Pega Smart Dispute for Issuers simulates the Verifi CDRN service responses by using specialized data transforms. For example, if you want to simulate a read response, you can configure the Simulate_ReadSingleVerifiCase data transform. The application interprets that as the simulated read response from the merchant.

Note: The Update service uses the PATCH HTTP method and does not return any output other than a status code. As a result, no simulated data transforms exist for this service. When simulation mode is enabled, the status code for the Update service is 200, simulating a successful outcome.

The following table lists the simulated data transform rules per Verifi CDRN service response message object:

ObjectSimulated data transform
CreateSimulate_CreateVerifiCase
ReadSimulate_ReadSingleVerifiCase
UpdateInstead of a data transform, a simulation lists all of the valid response codes. Users can simulate Resolve and Decline scenarios.
