PEGA0071 alert: Visual Business Director has used 90% of the allocated memory

The PEGA0071 alert is triggered when the Visual Business Director service has used at least 90% of the allocated memory. The allocated memory is a user-specified threshold that is a part of the service definition.

Example message text

VBD memory usage exceeds 90 % threshold of <threshold> MB allocated: <actual value> MB

The following variables are in the message text:

  • <threshold> is the memory limit for the Visual Business Director service configured by a user in the VBD service settings. The default value is 1024 MB.
  • <actual value> is the amount of the memory that was used by the Visual Business Director service.

Reasons for the alert

To eliminate this alert, investigate the amount of Visual Business Director data per data source on the Visual Business Director tab on the Services landing page. Compare the size of the data with the initial sizing made in the VBD service setting (allocated memory). Allocate more memory to the Visual Business Director service on each node in the cluster or add more VBD nodes. For more information, see Configuring the Visual Business Director service.
