PEGA0081 alert: Visual Business Director query time above threshold
The PEGA0081 alert is triggered when the time for completing a Visual Business Director query exceeds its threshold. This typically happens when you query Visual Business Director data sources (for example, using Visual Business Director Planner) while nodes are being added or removed from the cluster. Adding or removing nodes might trigger some data partitions to migrate and reload.
Example message text
VBD query time exceeds threshold of <threshold> seconds: <actual value> seconds. For query [<SQL query>]
The following variables are in the message text:
- <threshold> is the time limit for a Visual Business Director query. The default value is 10 seconds. The threshold value is set in the alerts/vbdQueryTimeThreshold Dynamic System Settings.
- <actual value> is the time that was required to complete the Visual Business Director query.
- <SQL query> is the SQL query definition for which the alert was triggered.
Reason for the alert
To eliminate this alert, an administrator should monitor the progress of partitions being loaded by accessing the Visual Business Director tab on the Services landing page. You can query Visual Business Director when the partitions are fully loaded.
