PEGA0092: Number of servers in the cluster falls below the recommended settings

The PEGA0092 alert is generated for Apache Ignite servers when the number of servers in the cluster falls below the recommended minimum. The recommended minimum number of server nodes deployed in the cluster is based on the failover strategies for distributed assets that are configured on the cluster. You need at least three Apache Ignite servers in a cluster. The alert is raised by all remaining operating nodes. If, after a first alert is sent, another server is removed from the cluster, a new alert is sent.

The purpose of the alert is to limit the effect of server loss on the cluster, maintain cluster stability, avoid a hard failure, and ensure that no distributed data is lost.

Example message text

Operating below recommended number of servers based on topology configuration.

Default prconfig.xml setting

The alert is applicable only when using Apache Ignite as a clustering protocol. To switch to the Apache Ignite protocol from the default Hazelcast protocol, add the following setting to the prconfig.xml file:

<env name=”identification/cluster/protocol” value=”ignite”/>

Reason for the alert

When the alert is triggered, the system administrator must take immediate action. To eliminate this alert, the system administrator must immediately start new servers and add them to the cluster to reach the minimum number of servers and to avoid hard failure and distributed data loss. The minimum number of resources in the cluster is needed to support the configured failover strategy.
