PEGA0120: Timeout while sending emails

Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud™ (PDC) generates the PEGA0120 alert when the system times out while contacting the email provider when sending emails. This alert is related to Sender configuration on the email account form and is generated whenever any read or write timeout occurs.

Default prconfig.xml settings

Pega-IntSvcs.email/timeout

Used to set the connection timeout and read timeout values for the sender and receiver.

The recommended value to set is between 50,000 to 180,000 milliseconds.

Pega-IntSvcs.mail.smtp.writetimeout

Used for setting the write timeout value for the sender and receiver.

The recommended value to set is between 50,000 to 180,000 milliseconds.

  • Make sure that the values of the following dynamic system settings are within the recommended range of 50,000 to 180,000 milliseconds, and adjust if needed. The PDC settings landing page displays a warning message if you do not configure within the optimal range.
