Usage reports

Updated on April 5, 2022

Usage reports generate statistics about the usage and performance of report definition reports in the current application. Usage reports are defined in the Log-ReportStatistics class.

Several standard usage reports are available from the Report Usage tab of the Reporting Settings landing page. Examples of standard usage reports that are provided include:

  • pyDefaultReport and pyDefaultSummaryReport — Detailed and summary statistics on usage by report
  • pyReportErrorSummary — Summary statistics on errors generated by reports
  • pyReportUsageByUser — Summary of the frequency of report use by each user

You can customize standard usage reports or create your own usage reports.

By default, data in the Log-ReportStatistics class is collected once an hour by a Pega-RulesEngine agent. The reporting/enablestatistics dynamic system setting controls this logging behavior.
