Customizing chart-based insights

Applicable to Cosmos React and Theme Cosmos applications

Adjust the appearance and contents of chart-based insights to visualize only the specific information that is relevant to your business needs. For example, in a flight booking application, you can visualize data about recent reservations, and then filter the results by specific destinations to analyze the latest trends in business.

You can choose from a wide range of chart types to conveniently present your data.
Add the Explore Data page to your application. For more information, see Organizing the main menu for a portal.
You can add the Explore Data page only if your application uses a Cosmos React or Theme Cosmos in hybrid mode.
  1. In the navigation pane of your application, click Explore Data.

  2. In the Insights section, click the chart-based insight that you want to modify.

  3. On the right side of the insight, click Edit.

  4. In the customization screen of your insight, on the DATA tab, manage the content of your insight:

If you apply two filters, enter 1 OR 2 to filter data by either of the conditions.

    2. In the Sort order list, specify how you want to sort the data.

You can filter data of your insights to get the specific information that you require at the moment. The following visualization presents how to retrieve data about profits that each state generates by selling television sets that are shipped by regular air transport.
