Completing the Security tab of the application ID form
Application ID security tab.
Field | Description |
Access | |
Group | Enter or select an access group. This access group is used only until the operator is identified. |
Password | Enter the password for users who are represented by this application ID. At run time, the system matches this password against the one used to create the security token submitted for a single sign-on implementation. |
System | |
Lag Time | Each single sign-on URL contains a date and time specified as a SenderTime value. Enter a value in seconds that specifies the amount of time allowed between the SenderTime in the URL and the server time when the security token is evaluated. If the SenderTime is older than the Lag Time value subtracted from the current server time, the attempted login is rejected as stale. |
Failed Logon Count | Leave blank. Not implemented. Each login failure is recorded in a Log- class. |
- Application ID data instances
Pega Platform supports single sign-on. A person or external system that is authenticated by an external application can be authenticated without providing a second user ID and password. The single sign-on feature is implemented through a security token, which is referenced by an application ID data instance.
