Creating a setting

Version:

Create a setting rule to define when an Access of Role to Object rule takes effect. When an Access of Role to Object rule is not associated with a setting, it is applied unconditionally.

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click Create Security Setting .

  2. Enter a short description and a setting name. Begin the name with a letter, and use only alphabetic and numeric characters.

  3. Enter the applies-to class.

The applies-to class equals the access class on the Access of Role to Object instance that uses this setting.

  4. Click Create and open.

  5. Configure the setting as described in Content security policy directives.

  • Using setting rules

Use a setting rule to define a name and data type for a setting that your application can use for finely tuned access control. You can define access for different access roles based on the value of a setting. You associate the setting name and value on the Access of Role to Object rules for various class/role combinations.
