Viewing operations available to access role assignees

Version:

To review all the access roles and the access classes that are linked to them in the application, use the Allow Access to Class page. The page lists Access of Role to Object rules in the system. These rules link an access role to a class, and determine what operations are available to users with these access roles.

To create the Allow Access to Class list, complete the following steps.

  1. In the header of Dev Studio, click Configure Org & Security Tools Security Allow Access to a Class .

  2. Select a row from the list to view Access of Role to Objects instances.

  • Standard access roles

Pega Platform provides several standard access role name rules. These role names are referenced in standard Access of Role to Object rules to control the classes that users with these access role names can see and update.

  • Creating an access role by using the access role dialog box

You can add Rule-Access-Role-Name rules and associated Rule-Access-Role-Obj rules to the current application rule set to define the classes that a user can view, update, and delete through the Access of Role to Object and Access Deny rule types. This topic shows how to create an access role by using the access role dialog. You can also create an access role by using the rule form.
