Managing job schedulers

Only available versions of this content are shown in the dropdown

Job schedulers are internal background processes on the server that run activities on a periodic basis. Use the Jobs landing page to manage job schedulers in your application.

Create job schedulers in Dev Studio. Use the Jobs landing page in Admin Studio to trace and override Job Scheduler rules in your application. To create and manage Job Scheduler rules, you must have the pzJobSchedulerAdministrator privilege. To view the list of job schedulers in your application, you must have the pzJobSchedulerObserver privilege.

  • Changing a job scheduler rule state

You can change the state of a job scheduler rule to disabled from the Jobs landing page in Admin Studio when the rule causes issues. For example, when the rule does not resolve an activity that is scheduled. When all issues are addressed, you can enable the job scheduler rule.

  • Tracing a job

Trace whether your job runs when the activity it executes fails or does not work as expected. You can analyze the results of tracing for troubleshooting.

  • Tracer results window

The header row of the tracer results window contains the Pega node hash and computer name. For cluster-wide tracing of service rules, the tracer displays a separate section for each node that reported events.
