Configuring resource URLs

Updated on August 25, 2021

Change the default URL for online help to customize access to the help, especially if your system prohibits access to the internet.

The Online Help URL specifies the path to this help system. By default, this URL points to a public location on Pega Community in the format https://community.pega.com/sites/default/files/help_v##, where ## is the platform release number. The help for all releases is listed on the Pega Community page Online Help Systems.

The Online Help URL is stored as a Dynamic Systems Settings data instance.

The Public Link URL is used for Directed Web Access (DWA). This field uses the following format: http://nodename:portnumber/context/servletName.

The Public Link URL is stored as an instance of the Data-Admin-System-Configuration class.

The External Logs URL specifies the path to an external log viewer. You can display the external log viewer by clicking External Logs on the System Operations landing page.

  1. Expand the SysAdmin category, and then click Application Settings.
  2. In the Resource URLs tab, enter the Online Help URLin the format http://nodename:portnumber/prhelp.
Note: Do not use "localhost" as the node name; use the server name or an IP address.
  3. Click Save.
