Specifying the number of concurrent sessions

Updated on August 25, 2021

To provide system security in a multi-node environment or in the cloud, prevent operators from creating new sessions after reaching the maximum number of concurrent sessions.

By default, the number of concurrent sessions is set to -1, which allows unlimited sessions per operator.
Note: Setting multiple concurrent sessions might impact some Customer Service application and chat features. In such situations, Pega recommends setting the number of concurrent sessions to 1.
  1. In the navigation pane of Dev Studio, click Records.
  2. Expand the SysAdmin category, and then click System.
  3. Click the name of the system for which you want to specify the number of concurrent sessions.
  4. In the Number of concurrent sessions allowed for each operator field, enter a positive integer greater than or equal to 1. The default value is -1, which allows unlimited sessions per operator.
  5. Click Save.
What to do next: Restart your system for the concurrent sessions settings to take effect.
