Changing the built-on version of an application to the current version

Updated on May 11, 2022

If you imported an application that was built on an earlier major version of Pega Platform and did not automatically update dependent applications to be built on the latest version of the application, edit the application definition to include the current version.

For example, if you import an application that was built on Pega Platform 7.x and you are running version 8.x, then after you import the application, you must change the built-on version to 8.

For more information about automatically updating dependent applications to be built on the latest version of an application, see Updating dependent applications.

  1. Log in as a user that does not have the imported application in the stack.
  2. In the navigation panel, click RecordsApplication DefinitionApplication, and then click the application that you imported.
Result: The application rule for the imported application is displayed.
  3. Navigate through the Built-on applications area to get to the underlying PegaRULES version.
  4. Change the Version number to the current version of Pega Platform.
