Upgrading Pega Customer Service skins and themes

Updated on September 25, 2019
This article applies to upgrading to Pega Customer Service from Customer Process Manager (CPM) 6.3 SP2 and prior versions.

Pega Customer Service / CPM supported portal themes prior to CPM 6.3 SP2. As of CPM 6.3 SP 2, the themes capability is no longer supported or available.

Application Branding Wizard

The Pega Application Branding Wizard was deprecated in PRPC 6.3. This functionality was replaced by skin rules, which Pega Customer Service / CPM versions use to style and brand applications.

Each version of Pega Customer Service ships with a default skin rule, and this skin has been applied to the standard portals. The skin can be overridden and extended in customer applications, but the default skin should be used as a starting point for your customizations.

The following list identifies the default skins that ship with each version of Pega Customer Service:

  • Pega Customer Service 7.1 – CPMSkinTemplate_1
  • Pega Customer Service 7.1.2 – CPMEndUser71R2
  • Pega Customer Service 7.1.3 – CPMML7
  • Pega Customer Service 7.1.4 – CPMML6
  • Pega Customer Service 7.21 – CSEndUser
