Specifying read-only and edit options for a Date time control

Applicable to Theme UI-Kit applications

Edit options determine when a control is editable or read-only for the application's users.

In the layout of the form that you are editing, complete the following task: Adding a Date time control to a layout.
  1. Click the control, and then click the View properties icon.

  2. On the Presentation tab of the Properties panel, specify the Edit options for the Date time control.

These selections take precedence over section and harness settings.
    • To make the property editable for an application end user, depending on the edit mode of the enclosing section or harness, select Auto.
    • To make property values read-only for end users, select Read-only (always).
    • To select the expression used to evaluate the conditions in which property values are read-only, select Read-only (expression)

In the adjacent field press the Down Arrow key to specify the condition.

    • To select the when rule used to evaluate the conditions in which property values are read-only, select Read-only (when rule)

In the adjacent field press the Down Arrow key to specify the when rule.

    • To make the property always editable for users, select Editable.
  3. For read-only modes, use the Read-only value list to select one of the following settings:

    • To display the value of the property that you specify, select Another property's value

In the field that is displayed, select the property for which you want to display the value.

    • To display the value of the selected property, select Property value.
    • To display the value of the constant that you enter in the field, select Constant.
    • To display the localized value of the property, select Localize property value.
  4. In the Label format field, press the Down Arrow key to specify a format such as Standard (label) or Heading 1 to be applied to the control's label at run time.

  5. Click Submit.
