Only available versions of this content are shown in the dropdown

To enable users to enter a specific date and time in the calendar picker, change the default time settings to a particular time zone.

In the layout of the form that you are editing, complete the following task: Adding a Date time control to a layout.
  1. Click the control, and then click the View properties icon.

  2. In the Properties panel click the Presentation tab.

  3. In the Time zone source section, select how the application determines the date and time tor the calendar picker:

    • To use the default time zone of the operator's system, select Operator time zone.
    • To show the date and time from a specific time zone in the calendar picker, select Standard time zones, and then select a Java-supported time zone from the list.

If you leave the parameter blank or if you select an unsupported time zone, the default time zone of the operator is displayed.

    • To use a dynamic value for the time zone, select Property and then apply a data transform or a different transformation type.
  4. Click Submit.

  • Date time (calendar) control

To present a date, time, or both on a form, use the Date time control. You can modify the control features to improve user experience by making date and time selection simple and intuitive. For example, you can choose to display the calendar widget with spinners to make it easier to switch between months and years.

  • Configuring the basic settings for a Date time control - a date or time

Select a property for a Date time control to determine the dates and times that the application users can select. Set related options to specify the label, default value, helper text, and field visibility for the control.

  • Configuring presentation options for a date range calendar control

Configure the control to be editable or read-only for the application users, apply conditions and specify how the cell appears on the form.

  • Data Transforms

A data transform defines how to convert data that is in one format and class (the source) into data of another format and class (the target). The supported formats are clipboard and JSON. Using a data transform instead of an activity to set property values speeds up development and makes application maintenance easier.
