Visualize application data by using insights (8.6)

Updated on May 14, 2021

Enhance the process of data analysis in your application by presenting the data in a modern and appealing interface. Starting from Pega Platform version 8.6, you can use insights to retrieve specific information from your application, and then save it in the form of a convenient list or interactive chart. For example, in a sales application, you can visualize data about profits that your company generates in specific regions, then analyze the distribution of earnings across various product categories, and finally retrieve information about top-selling articles.

The following visualization presents how to create the chart-based insight from the above example:

Pega Platform offers a wide range of visualizations that you can use to ensure that the presented data is transparent and engaging to your audience. You can freely adapt insights to your requirements by, for example, adding specific filters whose aim is to restrict the results and retrieve the required information only.

Insights are accessible in the Explore Data feature that you can add as a React-based UI page in your application. With that functionality, you can add insights as pages in the navigation menu of your application to help users find relevant insights more quickly.
