Why does my automation no longer work with IE after installing an updated Siebel HIF Client?
Internet Explorer fails to match controls after installing a Siebel HIF Client from scratch.
Installing an updated Siebel HIF Client on a machine that did not previously have it, will sometimes unregister the ole32.dll from the system. This behavior has only been reported with Siebel HIF Client 8.0.0.6 and 8.0.0.7.
To resolve, simply run the following from a command prompt:
regsvr32 ole32.dll
