Enabling the Web Chatbot on your application

The Web Chatbot is a standalone widget that can be deployed on your website. This widget interacts with customers by using a text interface. The Web Chatbot can be used to help customers find information, send automated responses to their queries, and to create a case for escalations. The Web Chatbot is built on the Pega Customer Service application. If you already have an application built on Pega Customer Service, then you can build the Web Chatbot application on your application layer to include all of the new rulesets that are added that are specific to your application.

To enable the Web Chatbot for your implementation application, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the application by entering your administrator credentials.
  2. Click Application menu > Definition.
  3. In the Built on applications section, replace the CustomerService row with the name of your implementation application.
  4. In the Application ruleset section, verify that the following rulesets are included. If they are not included, add them to this section.
    • PegaCS-WebChatbot-CSR:07-31
    • PegaCS-WebChatbotConfig:07-31
    • PegaCS-WebChatbotCases:07-31
    • WebChatbotChannel:07-31
    • PegaKMPortal:07-31
  5. Click Save.​
