Overview

Secured and tamper-proof data is critical to meeting compliance regulations in a specific region. Keeping the data safe in any situation is paramount.

The HCLTech ADvantageTM Pega Tamper Proof Audit Trail externalizes selective audit and event data - ensuring that the data is not tampered with or lost. This selective data can be pushed and retrieved in a distributed way while maintained in a centralized way.

OrbitDB, a serverless, distributed, peer-to-peer database, is used to maintain the selective business audit and event data for processes externally as OrbitDB uses IPFS as its data storage and IPFS Pubsub to automatically sync databases with peers.

For example, we built an application in Pega using the case management capability. This case was an exhaustive one with multiple statuses maintained across multiple users. All the actions and reactions of the case were mapped to an entry in OrbitDB. We created REST Service in Pega to connect and insert the data in OrbitDB as well as fetch the relevant status log for a particular case, which is then showcased on the dashboard.
