Conditionally starting a process by using a condition

Define a condition to start a process only when the process is relevant to a case.

  1. In the navigation panel of App Studio, click Case types, and then click the case type that you want to open.
  2. On the Workflow tab, click Life cycle.
  3. Click a process in a stage.
  4. Define the conditions that determine whether the process is started by performing one of the following actions:
    • To define a custom condition with a condition builder, in the drop-down list, click Custom condition, and then click the Gear icon. For more information, see Defining conditions with a condition builder.
    • To use an existing when condition, in the drop-down list, click Existing condition, and select the condition.
  5. Click Save.

The process runs only when the condition returns a true value. Otherwise, the case skips the process and moves to the next process in the life cycle.
