Divisions - Completing the New or Save As form

Use any of three methods to create a division instance:

Click the New toolbar button () and choose Division from the Organization category for the Type field.
Select View > Organization > Divisions. Click the New button.

Select View > Organization > Organization Chart to present the Organization Chart. Select an organization, right-click, and select Add Child. Enter the division name in the pop-up panel and click Save. The new division appears beneath the organization on the tree with a default description. Use the Open function to modify the new rule. You can also create additional divisions within an organization by selecting a division in the tree and using Add Node.

An organization division rule has two key parts:

Field	Description
Organization Name	Enter the name of an existing organization data instance, a key to an Organization instance.
Division Name	Enter the name of this division, for example, Finance. Begin the name with a letter and use only alphanumeric, ampersand, and dash characters. Division identifiers are limited to 32 characters.
