Email Account form
–
|
Use this tab to store the configuration information the system uses to send e-mail. The standard activity Work-.getEmailSenderInfo retrieves and uses this information.
Field |
Description |
Sender Information | |
Account ID |
Specify the e-mail address associated with this e-mail account using the format recognized by your Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) host. Typically the format is [email protected]. If your SMTP host requires authentication, include one @ character. You do not need to enter a working e-mail address that can receive email, but do enter a correctly formatted address accepted by the SMTP host. Do not include spaces in the address. |
Host (SMTP) |
Identify the Internet IP address or the domain name of the Simple Mail Transport Protocol host, for example exchdev.myco.com. |
Password |
Optional. If required by the email server, enter the password for the email account. |
Full Name |
Optional. Enter text that appears as the full name of the sender. |
Reply To |
Optional. Identify an email address that recipients of email messages sent from this account can reply to. Use a working, valid email address that is reviewed by a person or is processed. |
Use SSL? |
Specify whether to use Secure Sockets Layer protocol to send e-mail messages through this account. |
Test Connectivity |
After you save the Email Account form, click to confirm that Process Commander can connect to the SMTP host identified on this tab. Clicking the button does not send an e-mail message; it merely pings the server. Although the test doesn't use the values in the Email Address and Password fields, the test cannot succeed if those fields are blank. |
KeyStore Instance |
Optional. If your application is to send digitally signed email message, identify a Keystore data instance. See About Keystore data instances. For instructions on sending digitally signed email, see How to send digitally signed email. |
Certificate Alias |
Optional. Enter one or more characters that match all or part of a specific certificate within the keystore data instance. If blank, Process Commander selects the first one it finds of the correct type. |
